You've been suspiciously quiet since this mate. Still recovering?
Probably in some soft southern hospital wrapped in heating blankets while the doctors work hard to revive him .

Yes, when you posted the link on page 1 I read it. Not sure why you are posting it again.Has anybody read this -- https://sharpologist.com/2012/03/cold-water-shaving-2.html ?
Its simple physics heat makes metal expand including the edge of the blade
and the cold water seems to tighten your skin its cold water for me to
mate
Sorry that all went over my head @BogeymanThe average home water heater is set at approx. 120F (48.89C). 7.2 x 10-6 is the expansion coefficient for steel. So, from 70F to 120F is a change of 50 degrees. 50 X 0.0000072 = 0.00036.
Even the horniest of widow women could not ascertain an expansion of 0.00036. Myth busted.
cold water shaving is for contrarians and perverts
I can tell @Bogeyman is not a Structural Engineer in Steel and ReinforcementSorry that all went over my head @Bogeyman
Is that saying hot water dulls the blades more than cold?
All I know things expand with heat (most things)
that thing I said about simple physics is well....
really I know S--T about it
was I on the right track ???

Excuse me Mr Pain in Ass , I've been flipping my blade for every third shave for each rotation for nearly two years, believe me, it does makes a huge difference and the blade does last longer. YMMV depending on your stubble, shaving technique and your lather slickness. It does makes a huge difference, you just need to open your own eyes to see the differences. When you can buy 100 Astra blades for $15 including delivery
how long the blade lasts really don't matter
And ya that blade flipping is as crazy as so called hand stroping
I saw a thread on it what a laugh mate
( I thought hand stroping was something you did in private)
I will just peer out of the shell I have gone back into toExcuse me Mr Pain in Ass, I've been flipping my blade for every third shave for each rotation for nearly two years, believe me, it does makes a huge difference and the blade does last longer. In my experience it doesn't. And in my early DE-shaving days I've done all sorts of tinfoil-hat shi*t there is. Conclusion has been - keep it simple. And on top of that - I've never actually felt a need to extend the longevity of the blades, given their price. I spend waaaaay more on coffee alone.Excuse me Mr Pain in Ass , I've been flipping my blade for every third shave for each rotation for nearly two years, believe me, it does makes a huge difference and the blade does last longer.
