Cleaning Gillette Vintage

Good evening fellow shavers, I have now started buying some of the gillette vintage razors from ebay and boot sales etc and was just wondering if it would be wise to clean them up using some sort of Dremel with a polishing mop. Would this work or do you think it would be too severe.
Thanks

I've used a whitening toothpaste with good results. A dollop on your index finger and a a bit of elbow grease brings it up fine. For that bit of extra shine I have some of my mums old finger nail buffing compound (extremely mild abrasive) with a bit of chamois leather brings it up lovely.
Before & After.
