Cleaning a Black Beauty

Probably been asked before but can you use sonic jewellery cleaners with black beauties?

Mine could do with a real good clean so wanted to add this in to the cleaning schedule.

I've read the sticky at the top a out cleaning and will try parts of the method there.

I bought a BB and the seller said he cleaned it in a sonic cleaner, it was spotless and no dirt or marks at all, superb condition, great razor too.

Generally speaking, you'll be fine using an ultrasonic cleaner if the plating is intact. You may also be fine using it on a razor where the plating isn't intact but there's an increased risk of the process removing further plating.

The thin gold plating on vintage Gillettes can be more susceptible to damage by ultrasonic cleaning though.
