Glad you've enjoyed it and some excellent counterpoints to the MIC argument there.
I'm not sure what my counterpoints are tbh!

I'm not too bothered whether things are clones or not, and even though I own quite a few MIC razors the only one I use on a regular basis is the Yaqi DOC.

Personally though, I'd always recommend spending a bit more if needed be and getting the full fat version if possible eg the Merkur Futur opposed to the Mingshi one if you the funds to do so, or just the DE89 head on it's own.

If you have the energy to do another themed month of razor shaves that'd be great be it ones of another theme be it German/Vintage/USA razors or so one.

Also forgot, it was good to read about menthol soaps as well!

Sorry, my post there made no sense reading it back. In my mind it meant you added some quality info and countered some of the potential negatives I raised towards the end.

Thanks for the info Brian, your shaving soap has some of the best post shave feel I've come across (for my skin, a YMMV issue if ever)so I'm sure the splash will address the post shave feel equally well.
I'll second that Donnie , @Boycie83 introduced me to @BrianH 's soaps and they have become a firm favourite.
