Cheapest place to buy artisan soaps in UK?

If you have an idea of what brand you are after, do a Google search. Connaught give excellent service, and I think shaving vendors in general, give the best service of any online retailers.

Is there any problem buying direct from the artisan? It gives them a better margin and helps keep their businesses afloat? I've nothing against retail outlets who are essential and do great work, but I for one would be all for giving the most support to the soap makers themselves. The two who I've had email contact with - Sharron from NSS and Darron from Wickhams - have been hugely helpful and approachable and that's where my money would go.

I haven't bought any OSP lately, but I've recently bought supplies of Wickham's and P&B direct from them. All three have websites, from which you can buy direct.

The only supplier who stocks all three is, as far as I can tell, Connaught Shaving, who are in my home county of Suffolk, and whose service is impeccable. If you wanted to buy a selection of soaps from some, or all, of these makers, then you might be able to reduce the postage costs by going to Connaught.

I agree Caunaught is excellent. It is retailers like this who sells several soap manufacturers, that many like me see the variety of soaps available. Ok, buying direct from the artisans may give them a bigger margin, but the likes of Connaught bring their soaps to a wider audience.

This makes sense to me, so P&B Imperial Rum ordered direct from their site. £17.98 delivered.
