Challenges to a shave

I have a scar that goes half way around my neck. This obviously presents a bit of a challenge when I'm shaving with my FAC DX, and anything else, to be honest! I usually go over it very gently as i go across it which generally works ok, but very occasionally I catch it when I'm not concentrating
Does anyone else have any similar challenges that they have to deal with when shaving? And if so, how do you deal with it?

Yes, I have a slight scar on my chin where I busted it open as a child. I have to press the skin flat off to a side to shave it well even though it is not very pronounced after over fifty years. As well, I do it carefully as the area around the mouth & chin is IMO the most difficult to shave well as it is chock full of curves & delicate areas. As a note, I cannot shave that scarred area with a razor that is very "aggressive" as it will dig in and nick. Word to the wise. ;)
