Cartridges vs Safety razor

It's not my definition it's the fact that on shaving fora "wet shaving" is often used to mean "DE / SE / straight, brush and soap. My point is that canned goo and a cartridge is still wet shaving.
I agree everything is wet shaving, but I find it odd that disposable straights are considered traditional when they are developed using the latest technological advancements.

It really depends on where you draw the line from a historical standpoint. If the internet had existed 100 years ago there would probably have been people decrying the DE razor as new-fangled disposable blade things and not proper razors. I agree that a disposable blade straight is a modern thing.
 
My definition of wet shaving.
Wet your face and use a medium to create cushion, glide or both and then successfully scrape this medium and the whiskers off with a sharp implement.
Edit: The choice of implement is just a choice, the goal is to successfully remove whiskers.
