Carbolic Soap

I've just received a 500g bar from CSC, 500g is a lot to try but it was the cheapest option. It's great, I've lopped a couple of bits off for the kitchen and bathroom and it should last ages as you don't need much. It smells great and the lingering scent after rinsing off reminds me of the original Wright's coal tar.

It's a bit like Listerine, you use this and feel clean.

I received a sample of "Redbuoy "Carbolic soap after Richard's kind offer to send some if requested and have used it quite a few times already and even at this early stage I can tell it is better than the "Blue Power" Carbolic soap YMMV and I'm sure I will be ordering some "Redbouy" in the near future. I have a bar of the CSC Carbolic Soap but can make no comparison because I have not used that one yet. You've got to love that carbolic soap smell, clean N fresh! P

Yes, but personally I am far more interested in that which I can use on my person and not the floors & cupboard.

This is only being sold as household soap to get around the wussy EU rule about not having proper carbolic acid in hand / body soap. I'm using mine instead of liquid antibacterial hand soap which is expensive and uses wasteful packaging.

I've been washing my hands with the Redbouy Carbolic and it's great so I see no reason why you shouldn't be taking it into the shower with you.

I have unwraped my CSC Carboilc soap so now I have three brands under test, the Redbouy is doing well and imo better than the Blue power.......the testing continues P.

I showered with the CSC for science, it was fine. Definitely felt clean afterwards!

I use the CSC version for everything. Hands at home and work...Use it in the shower with no issues and grate some into warm water for washing floors and work tops Not at the same time I may add! With a new puppy in the house it is being used a lot

Everything just feels and smells squeaky clean!

Hello, I agree with Blademonkey, and it is what I tell my customers who ask me if they can shower and bathe with REDBUOY SOAP, I tell them "if you wash your hands with this soap and get no adverse reaction, I don't see any problem with washing all your body with it".

The Redbouy lathers very well but no I have not tried to use it as a shaving soap but now you have bought it up who knows.......watch this space! P.

Now, there are few shaving products claming anti bacterial action like King of Shaves Alpha gel but I yet to see this claim in the realm of shaving soap. I know Speick has some claims on the natural side of course but not seen a coal tar based one.
