Hi All, trying to upload a pic the shave of the day, but it keeps saying files are too large. Anyone know the limit of the size of the files?

Thanks

I had the same a couple of days ago. It’s network issues which are normally resolved quite quickly.

It’s nothing you’re doing wrong.

If you’re trying to upload from a phone, try a photo compressor app which will reduce the file size. Even doing so, I have to reduce the image quality and size quite a lot each to get the pic onto here

If your problem isn't solved then, here's what i use at times and it works wonderfully.

http://www.imageoptimizer.net/Pages/Home.aspx

1. click on 'browse' file selected left hand side of the screen below optimize now.

2. choose your photo leave the quality to normal, change the image size max width: 1000 ,max height: 750. then click on "Optimize Now"!.this will make the image size 490KB which is ideal for forum web sites.

3.Then download the file, go to your downloads and look for the image, it'll be renamed 'Optimized' and what ever name you've giving the file.

4.Then upload it to your SOTD or any other forum page on TSR..the optimizer is a wonderful free photo compressor which is perfect for web page images.
Enjoy. B.:)

Same thing happened with a huge log entry hogging the space. Still looking into it but the performance should be ok again.
