Can't go on holiday, so DIY on garden

It looked nice but it was rotten underneath and there were 3 rather large trees overburdening the back wall

Builders in September and look forward to the end results. This is all part of my retirement plan. Something to sit and relax in as against to falling through it

How about another update picture. Has much changed since?

I'd recommend a lilac in a large planter - will reward you with wonderful scent over summer.
How about a bee hotel and a bird box. Will give you lots to watch while you sit there.
We've had wasps and/or bees in one of our bird boxes over the last few years and they've been great to observe. They don't cause a problem and get a bad rep.

Hi, thanks. It's pretty much as per my last photo other than some plants in the trough to help keep the water clean. A couple more Bonsai too. It'll grow a bit more in spring, so another 6 months yet. As for bees/wasps...have have ever seen a crazy bloke running around trying to swat them...well (that's) me, no thanks haha
