Boots shaving soap and sticks?

The Boots shaving stick is hands down the worst shaving soap for allergy I have ever used.

It made my face go on fire for hours after using it. I've had allergic reactions to many other soaps but the Boots one was the one that was the most painful.

I'd still recommend getting one as the plastic holder can be repurposed for other shaving sticks like Palmolive etc.
I had the opposite experience to this the boots shave stick performed well but the boots lather shave cream gave me to strongest reaction I've ever had to a product. Really burnt me..gave it to my dad he found it fine no reaction

As an aside, they do a tube of brushless shaving cream. Excellent scent, and although it won't be the best shave on the planet, it's my go to for when i need a rushed one pass and out the door shave.

I finished fair few of the sticks, performance is as good as Palmolive stick inmho.
It is a Glycerin based soap and the scent is Fern/Moss.

I still have the black plastic dish version in my draw from few years back.
The puck performed identically to the stick so I believe they share formula.
I assumed the Boots soap in the pot and stick would have the same formula, but just packaged differently...that's why I was considering buying a couple of the sticks and using them to fill my Boots pot. I'm definitely going to pick a stick up next time I'm anywhere near the Boots store.

I've got one third of a puck of original Boots soap i.e. the one made by Yardley floating around. Scent has long gone, but apart from that it's still highly useable. Would probably require grating as it's from a round bowl.

You can have it for free if you PM your details

Very kind offer Sean, much appreciated, but I tend to avoid 'vintage' soaps...I'm a bit fussy that way:rolleyes:

I used to use Boots shaving sticks years ago. I can't remember much about them except that they became increasingly difficult to find. Their big advantage was they came in their own protective sleeve, unlike Erasmic for example which only had a plastic holder on the bottom.
