Blue's Soap - Goats Milk Shaving Soap

It's wonderful soap..safe as houses..excellent post shave feeling.."we only fear what we don't understand" believe me i've used it since i started DE shaving last year, it doesn't get top marks for it's scent value, which is a kind of lemon/milk fragrance, but it's shaving ingredients are wonderful.well apart from the old Goats eye & few crispy dead flies thrown in for good measure!:D..
No seriously, people are only in doubt about it because its made in China, and doesn't show it's ingredients.

If i was to fault it at all the tins normally arrive slightly battered, but for it's price, and it's post shave feeling which i consider superb & mild and provides a wonderful slickness..i will always have it in my shaving den, i've recently ordered some " Chinese cologne Scented Shaving soap" which was recommended to me by @AnthH who tells me it's wonderful.

.Don't fearChinese cheapness, and don't be a "Brand name Snob".Regards. :)

Bit naughty of the Chinese claiming the soap is New Zealand though: misleading. I think the Chinese make some good budget fountain pens but I am sceptical of using Chinese toiletries. You don't know if the ingredients list is the truth...I don't trust them on quality control.

I've used mine half a dozen times or so.
As said, it's easy to lather, has good slickness and the post shave feel is good too.
The scent to my nose is like mild citrus.

I don't care what is or isn't on the ingredient list of this soap. It does the job it's intended for and I haven't suffered any after affects from using it.

While I'm here, can I ask , is it normal to have to shave the insides of your eyelids ?

Hi I wondered if there has been any more interest in origins of this Blues shave soap. I have some purchased this summer just passed. It is slick and makes a great lather with my omega boar brush. Post shave is nice and soft. Unfortunately I re eived an ebay purchase advertised as Blues and showing the Silver Blues tin - Unfortunately I was shipped anbbas soap. Light brown difficult to lather and lacking slickness. Unfortunately th UK eBay is still showing these misleading ads. I have noticed some sellers are charging more than 7 GBP for 'Blues soap with a pic of light cream soap in the old silver tin with paper labelling. I wonder if these are anything like the original New Zealand brand that is so effective. I don't trust these ads anymore. Maybe I will buy something like wickams or Sterling unscented. Glad I still have half a tub of New Zealand finest in my den
