The preshave oils from executive shaving are good particularly the new minty one.
I was wondering about trying ones of Barts lotions probably the unscented one. Cocconut oil and Argan oil. Have ordered a bottle to see. Anyone else tried something like that?

I know of someone who has used one of my Beard Oils, as a pre-shave, so there is no reason that lotion should not work just as well. I would be interested to hear how you get on with it.

Ps, it should hopefully be with you tomorrow.

I reckon if you need a pre shave product, you are using sub performing soap. I use SV soap mainly and there is no drag or resistance to my razor.

Do you have a very course beard.
The differences between one and each other can be the difference between a blade lasting 2 shaves or 5 shaves, I have a coarse beard and prefer to try anything to soften it enough for a good shave.

I use red proraso pre and same soap, I now go a wee bit ott when I have a brush full of lather, I drop 2 or 3 drops of glycerine on top and stir it a little with my finger then apply... Works well for me.
