Bean suppliers

Could someone recommend a good bean supplier/roaster please?

I use Garraways. Not that exclusive but good range and I find their 1kg options good value for money. York coffee gets good reviews but I haven't used them yet.

Here are a couple of reputable online suppliers, I've used both and had excellent service:

Good online suppliers-

Rave coffee-reasonable prices and can buy kg bags

Hasbean- big range of coffees and not bad prices

Artisan roast- haven't used so much but impressed by the few bags I've had.

Square mile- pricey but love the kochere natural espresso I have at the minute

Extract roasters- good value and kg bags available

Workshop- pricey but again really nice beans.

Thanks all, I was indeed meaning online. Since posting I've found that there is a roaster on a nearby trading estate, if they are still going. I've emailed them to ask if the sell to the public of whether it's only wholesale as they appear to have been supplying coffee shops. I'll see if I get a response from them first, then look at those links.

For espresso only there's also Londinium espresso.

It's great to have a local roaster since the postage adds up these days. If you have a good local cafe you can often buy beans from them too.

I'd vote for Rave - great prices, great coffee and delivery is cheap too - even free for orders over £25! Very friendly staff too.
