Barbasol

Read about this a lot...I use Milton, what is the great thing about Barbasol ?
Lots of fuss indeed. Basically a thick shaving foam, if you can live without any slickness it might work for you. Barbasol smells great as well.

Most shaving gels on the high street are doing circles around shaving foams but soap and cream is on balance better than either for slickness and skin conditioning plus you are in control of consistency.

Expensive for what it is as it is not officially imported to the UK.

If you are after a simar performance in foam for a fraction of the price, you can pick Nivea foam or Noxzema or Proraso etc'

Basically because the wet shaving on the net is heavily skewed towards US based users you will hear a lot about what they like etc' it's a game of numbers

My error..I meant barbacide, milton is used a lot for sterilising baby feeding bottles amongst other things so my post was really to find out the differences...I soak a razor in a milton solution for a couple of hours after a clean with a detergent and brush...then after the steep I brush under running warm water and dry off.

I really wouldn't use Milton on a razor, it's basically bleach. Soap and hot water is all you need, and if you're really paranoid, boiling water. Important - this means putting the razor in a suitable container and pouring water from the kettle into it, DO NOT boil it on the stove as the base of the pan will get seriously hot.

Someone on B&B totally fecked an AS-D2 with a bleach solution.

The great thing about Barbicide is that if used as directed it's safe for your razor. IMO unnecessary, but safe.
