B&M Sunny Lane

Barrister & Mann, one of the preeminent artisan soap makers in the USA, just introduced a new seasonal shaving soap/AS called Sunny Lane. The scent description from their site states:

...a peppery green, sparklingly fresh combination of bergamot, vetiver, sweet clover, and oakmoss...

Well, soap/AS samples (from Maggard) arrived today and I will give you my opinion of the scent as we all know that their Excelsior soap base is superb. I spritzed my arm with the AS sample and my brain froze for a moment..................then I immediately "recognized" the scent: this is very similar to Pinaud Clubman, but far better "rounded" and not nearly as harsh. Outstanding!!! For lovers of Pinaud Clubman the Sunny Lane soap will be manna from Heaven!! This one took audacity to make and straight out of nowhere!! Color me impressed!!

Used both soap & AS today and as expected, B&M's newest base, Excelsior, is top of the heap!! This is indeed a demure & better crafted version of the legendary Pinaud Clubman scent!! Of course, a fella either likes Clubman or despises it. There is no middle ground as it's a scent guaranteed to grow fuzz on your "peaches"!!
