August Acquisitions

Received today, my recent acquisition. An immaculate cased British Pal Injectomatic with instructions and original NOS Pal blades.

It was interesting to see on the blade cart stamped ERP. Which seems to tie in with the info on the leaflet which states Ever Ready Razor Products (Pal Division) UK.

I've loaded up one of the blades for a maiden shave.

Fine shavers, Arthur.

Holiday treat. Nice big tub of Truefitt & Hill West Indian Limes shaving cream. Lovely stuff. Had a tube before and enjoyed it, but I just love the T&H screw top cream tubs. Perfect size to reuse as a shaving bowl. I kept my last one (Ultimate Comfort) to use as a lightweight travel bowl. Also in the bathroom the tub fits perfectly in my shaving bowl. All round win.

Also, my first purchase from my local shaving shop - Master Barbers in Southport. Happy to support local shops!

Just picked this up in a Sue Ryder Charity Shop.
My wife (gotta love her ;)) found it bundled together with some other bits for £6... I asked If I could just purchase the cream, they said no but we will reduce the price to £4... So I said OK...
Purchased the bundle... Took out the cream and some pens my wife wanted and donated the rest of the bundle back to the shop....
I'd have been happy just paying the £6 for the cream... :ROFLMAO:

Excellent find. Let us know what you think. Its on my list of Lime creams to try.

Used today to tidy up a day and half of growth.
The scent is mild. Thick and creamy lather with an almost new boar bristle brush.
I'm interested to see how it leathers with a synthetic.
Good slickness,
It seemed to dry out quick on the top lip... However that could be due to me being a bit warm or the pre shave cream I used...

All in all a decent cream. Not sure I would pay the normal price. But I'm a Yorkshire man, so I never want to pay full price for anything.
