Can anyone help me identify this hone, the pics don't show the true colour, it is very dark brown, I want to lap it coz it needs it but to use the stone it says no water, oil or lather to be used to sharpen... only to be used dry. Roughly same size as a small Thuri.View attachment 60044

2:00am and I thought I would give it a wee lap, 20 mins on a 600 plate and I reckon it needs another 20, I could not resist giving it a wee run on a Crown & Sword...20 laps and it defo improved the edge so I'm well impressed, after the lapping I had a good sniff at the slurry...it was minty....looks like brown dirt but smells a bit like mint :) :)
