Anyone lost any mail order stuff due to postal strikes?

Hi all,

I have placed two orders in the past couple of months, one from Vintage Scent (a 1305 brush), and one from Menstyle.co.uk (face products).

Neither have turned up. I ordered another brush from Vintage Scent and that turned up in around a week.

So what has happened to this stuff?

Then, I read this:

Great. So, people we rely on for a service fail to turn up to do their job and this results in me losing products I have paid for. Who is liable here? Can I send the Post Office an invoice for these lost items?

It's really unacceptable.

This was not the best time for anyone to be ordering on line. I had to wait nearly two weeks before two items arrived in the New Forest from London. I have not had a total failure yet though. I am waiting for a Dirty Bird scuttle that left Virginia on 9 September but I expect that will be stuck in customs. And my Semogue turned up within a week.

Yes I have a lost parcel, really annoying as it was someone who did me a favour and got an item that the vendor would not ship outside the US. I know for sure it was sent but no sign of it yet.

In the last few weeks when i have won on e-bay uk, i have been asking the sellers that if i pay them extra on the checkout if they can send "Special Delivery", all is fine so far, all here next day no problem...

From the USA, i just paid and hoped for the best......been lucky so far.
