Any blades you won't buy again?

Bought some Bic (yellow packet) when I was in South Africa a couple of weeks ago. I've just used one on a three-day stubble in a DE89 - won't be doing that again - "tuggy" after a few strokes and ended up completing the shave with a Polsilver Super Iridium. Chalk and cheese.

I'm going to add, maybe a bit controversially, Polsilver SI. Bloody awful things. If mine were a bad batch or whatever, don't know don't care, won't be buying them again, especially now I've discovered Gillette Rubies.

Just goes to show how subjective blades are. I love them both but for me the Rubies are slightly smoother. Anything made in St. Petersburg is fine by me but anything made in Moscow is bloody awful. It's a funny old game.

Yes, I agree. However, I can manage with the Russkie Swedish Supersteel blades, but why when the St. Pete blades are so much better? ;)

Had a go with the Gillette 7 O' Clock Green (Super Stainless, Russia) again today. Whilst it felt ok during the shave, and the result looked decent enough, my face hurt for a couple of hours afterwards. Just felt very sore and achy. Don't get why as I wasn't overly aggressive with the DE89 and my face doesn't normally feel this sore after shaving. Even after applying Aloe Vera Gel it still hurt for some time after. Is it true that these blades are uncoated? If so, I guess that could explain the harshness. Anyway, I won't bother buying any more of these

I get this with feather blades. However, your blade may just be a bad one.. try another to make sure.

Its the third of these blades I've used in rotation now. The others felt a little harsh too, but it was worse this time. Frustrating as I got less visible irritation than with some blades, but the face feel afterwards was not good.

I have sensitive skin and the best blade for me is polsilver super irridium. Along with Saponificio varesino soaps and Edwin Jagger razor. Wonderful combinations.
