And so it begins.......

I think I may be addicted! It started with the Cool Cut 2 then the folding Feather AC clone from Ali Express. In the meantime I've been assembling the rest of the accessories...... The two “vintage” at the top were snapped up from a certain auction site for around £10 each. Whilst not shave ready they do have an edge, but will need preparing by someone far more skilled than I.

To add I've been practicing with the Cool Cut to good effect and with very few “issues” (of the blood spillage related kind).

Ouch  . And that's why I'll be sticking with a DE safety razor but top marks for giving it a go!
Not giving up. This is the first proper cut. been using a CoolCut 2 for a couple of weeks, but that uses half a DE blade. The Dovo uses a full length blade - and there's my mistake! Up until that point it was going so well....

Personally I am not a fan of the long blades in my Dovo shavette having tested Dovo, Tondeo and Jaguar, added more blade to keep an eye on without added benefit in my book so sticking to DE-blades. (now only using the long blades for cutting my hair)

If I shave with a slow hand I have found that the alarm goes off - a slight burning sensation - cut cut cut - followed by an automatic stop avoiding the actual cut only leaving a tiny red mark on skin if any.

Got a feeling you might be working at too steep a blade angle. We need to aim for 30 degrees fro flat against your face.
