Advice On Chin

Hello. I've been shaving with a straight razor for about 3 months. All seems well but I seem to end up sort of scraping my chin. Can't work out what I'm doing wrong. I was shaving with a shavette for about a year. Much prefer the straight razor generally but never had any bother with my chin with the shavette. The razor is a 5/8 dovo Bismarck, don't know if that makes any difference. Any advice is much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

I wonder if it is maybe the honing then? I'm going to see if I can find someone local who does razor sharpening. I've been watching ‘how to hone' on YouTube but I reckon it's more difficult than they make it look

Tbh i think Billy has hit the nail on the head, if the edge isnt bang on , that area on ya chin, it wont make a differance what funny faces you make its not going to help. You need a dam good edge, thats why you havent got this problem with the less forgiving shavette.
