Adventures in polyester...

Haha - I have to say, I had toyed with the idea of suggesting it, unfortunately with my limited time the same batch may apply to 2009, 2010 and 2011!!

That said, the option to buy knots in bulk reduces the price significantly......

Maybe Chris and I can split the work ;-)

ALthough you'd need to realize that doing these things manually (as in really manually) means that no two handles will be truly the same, unlike any custom job from the likes of Shavemac, Rooneys, or Semogue, who, with their CDC-machines, copy-lathes, or semi-automatic lathes can ensure a level of repeatability we can't.

I was wondering if this idea was going to pick up any pace...I've been trialling a few GN knots recently courtesy of Hando and I must say I like em, especially the Finest. Xtra or standard stuffing, I like the idea of the fan shape but I haven't tried that.

I already have a chubby school bell handle in mind for Fido.

My extra-stuffed finest two-band arrived this morning, I'm very excited. Unfortunately it's arrived at my wife's office and I'm at work, followed by a Christmas party... so won't be sober enough to check it out when I get home

I'll either mount it in the handle above or turn a chubby style handle for it. I just think the chubby and the Persian jar are the only styles that really suite ivory (polyester!)

I'd be up for a TSR brush. I think this is a better idea than approaching Kents as was suggested recently because it keeps it in the family as it were, and there's that individuality factor. Now then, how about a batch of custom bathroom cabinets to put them in? ;)
