Addiction please help :(

Hi guys it's with great sadness I have to right this post but really need some help and wondered if anyone else is struggling with how much shaving stuff they buy. IV been DE shaving for around 5 years and have spent thousands of pounds in this hobbies witch I know call a addiction, my problem is a only really buy high end products as I'm abit of a perfectionist and only like the best, as you know this is very expensive, I now have no job due to the current world situation and have spent all my money on shaving I just can't stop. Please help
If you've recognised that you have a problem, perhaps professional guidance is what you need. I run the risk of being interpreted as harsh here, but with all due respect to the other contributors, perhaps an online shaving forum isn't the best place to elicit help from the issues that you claim to have.

I buy a lot of stuff too :( I very much prefer vintage straights, I hoped to cut down...but in the last 48hrs I have bought 4 and lost out on auction on another 2 . Don't look and you can't buy
I understand the struggle mate, your right as soon as you see something you want the temptation is there, my problem is I'm always on YouTube, Instagram looking at shaving stuff :(

I am getting professional help ATM, witch has helped but just can't seem to stop buying things, I understand your concern thought but the comments from people have been really encouraging and helpful

Yes true I could sell it but it's hard to let go
its not going to be easy but life isn't easy and it's the first step to breaking this addiction, if you can let go of the bulk of your shaving gear it will not only give you the money you say you now need but it will also show you that you don't need all this stuff and give you more reason to stop buying it.
@SammieM hit the nail on the head when he said he has been getting his best shaves from a razor in won in a PIF, it cost him nothing! You don't need all this expensive gear to get a good shave so get rid of it and stop buying more!
Read @SammieM's post again and again because he makes a lot of sense in what he is telling you, take it on board and act upon it.
Only you can sort this out, but you are going to need to want to sort it out, no one else can do this for you so please stop making excuses and STOP BUYING SHIT YOU DONT NEED! P.
Sorry if this sounded a little hard but you needed to hear it . P.

I can offer to help by buying some stuff :( :( ;)

Yhh that's true.. I just never seem to be satisfied always want more, it's like a get a dopine rush from buying things I used to be a ex gamble, smoker and drug addict so my brains abit messed up :( I dunno how to quit and just enjoy what I have for example IV just wanted IAMCDB video on YouTube now I want to buy this soap, supposed to smell great and a great performer
Look at his latest videos where he is telling everyone that you don't need all this over priced shit, he has realised that it is by and large a waste of money and you don't need it, better still stop looking at YouTube shaving videos all together, cut up your credit cards, stop visiting shaving fourms and all the other online sites related to shaving. If you don't look for it you won't see it!
@Scotshave made a very good point, you are in the wrong place to be asking for help or advice, if you really need it seek it elsewhere, professional help, we by and large are just a bunch of enablers, cut your ties with the shaving community, it's the only way! P.

I would say as well maybe at this stage you should stay off the shaving forums as of course here you will see a lot of acquisitions that by the sound of it, you don't need.

Can you try and pull back into the simpler things in life ? , and as others have said sometimes you just have to deal with the underlying issues and sounds like you are already seeking professional help there.

From personal experience of a different kind I have to say pursue the professional help , whilst at first it may seem a strange process it should help and done right will be something you won't regret.
