I have to echo many of the comments on here I regret to say. I have only had 3 or 4 shaves so far but am disappointed, it feels rough with too much blade exposure, I’m not sure exactly what it is but it feels wrong somehow. I also was hoping for a SS DE89 but this certainly is not that. I’m not even sure its the aggressiveness that’s the issue, I have allegedly more aggressive razors (Timeless) that feel much soother.

Blade exposure is neutral but the blade gap is greater than the DE89. Less pressure will reduce the effect of the blade gap. Perhaps a change of blade may also help in this respect. It takes a few shaves to dial in a new razor.

I really liked the look of it, but had reservations about the lack of blade support. Sadly the really mixed reviews haven't helped, nor the fact that @MPH sold his very quickly and he and I have the same favourite razors. I'm going to sit this one out, which is a shame because I really fancied a British ss razor.
I only use the PIls, Feather, and the Muhle Sophist porcelain razor. I found the 3ONE6 didn't ring any bells.

Close to giving up I decided today to switch the aluminium handle for the ikon bulldog stainless steel. Made a big difference, a much better and controlled shave. I now wish I had got the stainless handle version and wonder if EJ will sell this as a stand alone at some point?

The razor with stainless handle is only 15 grams heavier than the aluminium setup (apparently, the stainless part of the handle is a hollow tube with the ends glued on, just like the aluminium one), so I doubt it makes much of a difference.

I'm about 20 shaves in with my black aluminium 3ONE6, and I find the handle quite useful. It took me two or three shaves to get used to it (but I had used razors with longer, thicker and heavier handles just before), but now I've got nothing to complain about. Good grip, too.

As I normally shave daily, I don't often have the need to remove 5 or 6 days growth. However, for various reasons, I was obliged to do precisely that, and chose my 3one6 for the job. It cleaned up in two passes, without nicks, irritation or any other adverse reactions.

I like it very much, and, although the aluminium version suits me well enough (despite a slightly too-short handle for my liking), I may buy the
stainless version, and switch the head around with other handles.

Whether just sold out, or perhaps a design or manufacturing tweak is involved, but all versions continue to be resolutely "Out of Stock" at the EJ outlets; which was the case very soon after I bought mine when they first came out.

If it helps, I can lend you the SS handle so you can see if it works for you? At least you'll know whether or not it's worth waiting for it to come back in stock. Just send me a PM.
