To be honest, I've been following and enjoying a discussion where no personal insults have been levelled, no childish threats issued and no Moderation intervention has been required.
If only our professional politicians could manage to strongly disagree in such an agreeable manner.
How very TSR, and my personal thanks to all contributers.

Great news Brian. I sold off all of my sizeable collection of top-end Badger brushes 18 months ago after I discovered the truth behind their manufacture and vowed never to use a Badger or Boar brush again. I replaced my collection with synthetics and haven't looked back since. It was definitely one of the best decisions I've ever mate.

What swayed it for us is how the Chinese treat human beings, we don't believe they treat their aniamls any better.
Brian.

This is a generalised statement and smacks of bigotry.

No doubt there are some Chinese people as there are some Brits, Europeans, Westerners etc. whose behaviour does not respect the rights and dignity of others.

If you are ceasing the sale of Badger brushes because of the alleged mis-treatment of Badgers then that is your choice; but I do wonder if this is primarily a marketing initiative by Executive Shaving.

I also wonder why, as a company, you are not so exercised about the incontrovertible evidence of devastating harm to plant, animal and human life from synthetic fibres and palm oil production, the former used in synthetic shaving brushes, the latter extensively in shaving soaps. I am sure it is not because of the financial implications to your business or is it?.

A company that champions ethics should also, in my view, not only look at its supply chain and sustainability, but also be charging competitive prices and certainly not above manufactures recommended prices (please see previous posts on members views regarding Executive Shaving's high prices; if not the highest amongst UK online vendors).

Good post! (y)(y)(y)

Countries have the right to treat their people and animals as they see fit obviously. After all, it is their country. We have seen that with brutal dictatorships embargos usually only affect the normal citizenry and not the higher ups who call the shots. It is pure sophistry to think little things such as this will change matters as it won't. China will still be a dictatorship. Then again, let us be intellectually honest in that actions taken by self righteous activists are not really about changing anything except their own superficial sense of self worth.

I will continue to use badger, I do not like synthetic brushes, there are many many other vendors I can buy from so it is not a problem...tho, if you think I will buy a badger brush from a vendor, then visit executive shaving for soap etc...you would be wrong, anyone who buys B brushes most likely will just change where they buy all their shaving needs, I wont be faffed visiting 3 vendors when one will suffice.goodbye executive shaving, I dont neec you now.

I prefer Muhle synth brushes to badgers for their performance, and price point. I won't buy badger brushes on principle. As far as the post from @JohnnyO, I'm sure he has an ulterior motive. :p

I am, perhaps somewhat naively, trusting that my TSR cheque is in the post, Steve.
Ah well, as the proverb has it, "Tis better to travel hopefully than to arrive.".
