Tickets arrived for this weekend's FA Trophy final. Off to Wembley with my son, dad, brother, nephews and niece to cheer on the mighty Wrexham AFC 
After years of being run by asset-stripping scum, it's amazing that the club survived and now has owners who've put their money where their mouth is, along with a level of involvement in the local community that few would have envisaged from a couple of American movie and TV stars!

I interviewed for a new job last Thursday and was given the answer at lunchtime today. I got it!
Quite a jump (on paper) but not a lot more than what I'm already doing ... but without the pay. Good to be paid (and recognised) for it.

Beautiful!
Looking out over our valley, the hawthorn (similar species) is in full effect. Very short-lived, but certainly our equivalent of what is celebrated in Japan as their cherry blossom season.
Just as that is dying down the laburnums will be in their brief, but full effect. Then summer ...
I look forward to this blossom every year.

This year has been super so far with the wet and the sun. Garden is looking superb in that sense. Probably a little early but you have to enjoy every moment.
