Err! Kinell,
I loaded up the new Yaqi SE with a Permasharp Half Blade, i had a lovely slick, thick lather on the chin so set about the shave, it has been said that this razor is on the aggressive side so i was mindful and started off riding the cap slightly lowering the handle until cutting, There is plenty of blade feel from the off, although, its not unmanageable, I tried different angles all the way down to the safety bar, no change in the blade feel, a very smooth, comfortable, no issue WTG pass.
A quick rinse off - KINELL - DFS+ result on its first outing on its 1st pass, impressive.
Not wanting to push it i used the Slim to do an ATG buffing pass on the areas that needed it - BBS in no time.
Rinse off, a splash of my Bay Rum AS which gave a bit indication under the jaw line.
It took longer to clean the brush and razor than it did to shave.
A nice post shave routine, again with some slight indication from the aftershave, but hey, i am really happy with this razor, its a keeper.
Stay safe and enjoy your evening All.
I really like that vintage leather case and blade box...also, as a big fan of Yaqi brushes, I've started to look at their razors...not the SE but I'm definitely going to try one of their DEs. I reckon their gear is going to become much sought after in the next few years! One day people will be looking at hologram posts on TSR and saying: "I really like that vintage Yaqi razor...how on Earth did you get hold of one?"

Not a lot to go at today as an earlier shave than usual.
Taking Mrs TC to Hairdressers (1st time in 5 Months of me doing it) as her ankle seems stronger and she managed to get an appointment.
So, The shave,
I always manage a great lather from the Stirling soaps and today was no exception, I knew i would probably get away with 1 pass so i did not load the brush fully.
1 WTG pass leaving me with an SAS finish, i needed the practice so i completed some XTG and Diagonal Stokes during a pick up pass.
Result - DFS+, no blood loss and raised confidence.
A very nice post shave with the Bay Rum scent wafting around the room.
Stay Safe and enjoy your day All.

That is one gorgeous looking brush. I've had my eye on that brush a few times, haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I was wondering how the knot in it, compares to a Tuxedo knot?

Hi @Talster it is a wonderful G4 knot, it feels very much like my Simpson Chubby 2 synth, it is actually my favourite synth and I have a few including a Tuxedo Yaqi fam. Sagrada.
Is it worth the full price?? Hmmm not sure, I got mine when the intro price was there so I think I got a good deal.

Or thanks that's really helpful, as I have the Chubby 2 synth and find it to have a bit too much backbone sometimes. Thanks again :)
