Scent of The Day

Spritz of Al Rehab Dakar ... gorgeous, mossy herbal scent with an underlying warmth. Folks often say it's a Drakkar Noir clone, which is sorta right but it's more along the lines of the less known (today) original Drakkar which carries the warmth than the Noir lost.

... and so I went looking for some original Drakkar to find £120for 50ml and £320 for a 200ml bottle. I'll stick with a £5 clone and my (fleeting) memory of that 5ml miniature I enjoyed. I got a period gift set which included miniatures of a bunch of popular men's frags from the early 1970s, the list of Ted Lapidus, Guy Laroche, Aramis, that sort of thing. Used 'em all, alas.

I have 1 oz. bottle of the ARD and you're spot on in that it is not an exact clone of DN. I actually like vintage DN better as it's legendary, but I actually use Lomani Pour Homme more as it is the best "sleeper" in the same vein.
