S.O.T.D. Saturday 11 th June to Friday 17th June 2016

Bowl lathered today with a La Toja sample from Shavedash and what a great soap it is. Mountains of creamy, slick lather and a lovely clean soapy scent. Picked up a bottle of the Paco Rabanne PH aftershave after spotting it in one of @Merkurologist SOTDs. It's hopelessly dated by modern fragrance standards and all the better for it. Wonderful stuff.

Football shave[emoji23]

Had to exchange the players (razors) and the ball (blade). Ball was flat (dull), neither the Parker 87R or the Gillette FlareTip couldn't score with it.

Better chances they had with a new ball PermaSharp(2), but the players were still too ineffective.

After the Merkur 39C came into the game, the team finally scored [emoji460]️

The ASS blade had no visible defects. Will not try another from this pack, but from another.

I enjoyed this pre-Valet AutoStrop razor so much the other day, I repeated it ... again with a Wickham's soap from their forthcoming 1912 range: Club Cola. It's Club Cola as you know it, but more so; rum and ice alongside.

Quite wonderful!
