Photo of the day

No Digi..
It's a bit fat north of me.. One day I'll get there.

You been yourself?
It's an odd place - I'm not generally sensitive to such things with landscapes but it definitely has an atmosphere - not a pleasant one. If for no other reason than it's a bleak forsaken hillside - quite elevated - who would choose to engage in battle on such a site? Only an idiot. If you visit - to put things in perspective - pick anywhere you like on the battlefield and try and run 50 feet in any direction you choose. The chances of not falling in a peat hag - sink hole - ankle snapping ditch - at the very least - is none. Killing fields indeed. On the face of it - I am dubious about the idea of landscape being a sponge for anthropomorphic notions - but it is difficult sometimes not to wonder - can we 'see' these things? I'll try and find a picture - this may take some time - I haven't been there for years. Unfortunately - for best results in my experience - stand in a storm and wait for the light to break. :) - cheers - I.

I knew someone, now sadly gone, who would curse at the mere mention of a certain clan, because of Culloden. I suspect to this day, a certain brand of tinned soup is not stocked, in some communities north of the border.
