Been shaving with carts again for a few weeks. It's my face so I make no apologies! Shaves not as close & need to shave daily, but my face simply feels far better (as long as I use no more than a 3-blade cart) so I'm happy. Still been using a brush & good creams, but got to thinking about the convenience of gels, more for if I just need a quick top up shave say late at night & don't want to faff about with lather, bowls & brush clear up. I used a Nivea canned gel for many years but really don't want to go back to aerosols, for the propellants / chemicals, fact they can leave your face feeling dry, etc.

Then I wondered if there are gels out there that don't come in a can. It seems these are rare beasts indeed. I was quite chuffed to see that T&H make one, though it only appears to come in No.10 scent, which I'm yet to try. Looking forward to giving this a go this weekend. King of Shaves do them but they contain SLS so I'm not sure.

You are the opposite to me, 2 or 3 weeks ago I found my 3 blade Gillette razor and used it once, it took 5 days for spots and rash to go away. It's now in bin.

My face seems to react the same way. A few weekends ago I used a 2 blade Gillette disposable (the one without a lubrication strip) and even though I had an exceptional lather (Signature Soaps), did all the same prep as I'd do for a DE shave but from using the 2 blade Gillette disposable I had a load of ingrowns from the shave. My face can't handle any razor with more than 1 blade. It reminded me why for the best part why I largely kept a beard, it was horrible to use multiblade razors!

(if they work for you then great!)
