Alternatives To Mitchell's Wool Fat

Another big fan of the Signature Soaps, only recently discovered them and was really surprised at the quality for the money they cost, they now sell small tubs that are very reasonable and allow you to try a few different scents, I believe the goats milk one is exceptional for people with skin irritation problems.

Thanks for the recomendation. I have tried Wickhams in the past and didnt like the stuff, and the scent was too feminine for me.
When I said alternatives, I'm looking for soaps that are similar, lanolin in them. Not just every soap out there.

I do understand though like everything some people will like it, and some will love it. I fall under like. I actually find it just as easy to lather as every other soap I have tried. I did use Haslinger Schafmilch today, and I love that already, amazing soap.
Total rubbish! Wickham, like most soaps, do have various mild scents but from the moment you rinse your face it's gone! Its does not ditract one iota from the overall high performance on the product.

Cyril R Salter Lavender shaving soap...A hard soap that lathers well and lasts for ages.....As near as I have come across to the legendary Yardley Lavender soap of old...Similar in performance to MWF...I get mine from the Traditional Shaving co., Very cheap as well...Or should I say good value.

How's the scent? I'm after a fresh lavender and this one sounds like it ticks the right boxes for performance.

Soft Lavender scent, with a hint of something else I can't quite put my finger on...Cedarwood maybe or perhaps Black pepper, though Lavender is the main scent to me........Most dedicated Lavender scented soaps I find a bit too much after a while, but this one is just about right.....Very pleasant and a good performer too....In fact I've just bought another three pucks for the collection.

Since this thread has refused to die.................yes, the Cyril R. Salter hard tallow soap is actually a real "sleeper" in that it is like the old shave soaps of lore in that it does everything it should and nothing it shouldn't. For those of who are chasing the "dragon" that is post shave feel I would not recommend it as in all likelihood it will be too run of the mill for you IMO. Regardless, it lathers like a champ and has good slickness & cushion. Good stuff. (y)
