Traditional Soap

Your Mother used this as a threat, but a Savonnerie in France advises brushing your teeth with Savon de Marseille..

They also reccomended shaving with it too...

That's the way to do it, you will be the soap King of eBay :) P.
The soaps on eBay are very disappointing at the moment, they are not good value for money and often, as my post above illustrates, misrepresented. I bought a Turkish soap from a new UK supplier, her soaps came from Italy and were repackaged Turkish and Aleppo soap. I used to buy Turkish soap in Amsterdam for €0.50, now it's up to £6-8.00...

There is an opening on eBay for an honest seller of quality soaps, you could clean up!!! :) P.

What soap do you use?
I've used all sorts over the years, even some of the American artisan ones and SV. It's like a feeling of all the skin oils are stripped and just makes me feel weird. Like that feeling when you rub a balloon. Puts my teeth on edge. I did have a Turkish Olive Oil soap before but can't remember if I tried it as a body soap as it was recommended for hair. I think I still have a full bar in my sock drawer.

Try a Shea Butter bath soap with Almond oil.

I'm going to keep an eye on this thread to see if @Sabre manages to secure a bulk buy of soap. I'm a complete convert to soap for shower use all though these days i've started to make my own, with my current favorite formulation being 45% tallow, 40% coconut oil, 10% olive oil and 5% castor oil. I make all mine cold process as i found the only real difference is the curing time and i keep enough stock to allow a good 6 weeks curing.
