Super Shave X

Used one for the first time today. Took down 48 hours of growth comfortably on the first pass and was super smooth on the second. Initial impression is that I'll like this blade.
I got 3x3 pass shaves with the first blade and could have easily gotten another I believe but I always bin a blade after 3 shaves. I'm very impressed with them. Not 100% sure about QC but if they all turn out like the first I will happily buy a couple of hundred.

3 shaves completed with this blade in the 37C and I'm impressed. Super smooth and it seems like there's plenty of life left in it. I'm not looking to test its longevity as I have another setup lined up but this certainly does remind me of the Treet Platinum.

Thank you again to @Dobbo25 for giving me the opportunity to try these. I'll certainly be adding some to my cart on the next Connaught order.

I've had 4 shaves including a head shave with one of these blades in my Tatara Masamune and I'm very impressed. Sharp and smooth shaves, no irritation or weepers and my last shave felt great still so hopefully longevity isn't an issue for these.

Only one DE blade after 15 years of production! Not much call for DE blades in China it seems or Chinise made DE blades anyway! P.

There are quite a few MIC DE blades, Mingshi, Rimei, YingJili, 3 different Baili ones, quite a few Gillette ones (Super Blue, Goal Platinum, Super Nacet, Gillette Wilkinson Sword), and Flying Eagle, who seem to have been around for a while. There are also lots of fakes being produced in China as well. No idea how many different factories there are, but I think I read somewhere the new Gillette made London Bridge is the same blade as the Carbon Steel Flying Eagle, which they said is one of the worst blades they have ever used, but the other Gillette MIC blades are supposed to all be very good.

I've used a few MIC blades - Rimei Platinum, Gillette Wilkinson Sword, Baili Blue, and most recently the SuperShave X. I've only used the one blade so far and it was superb for the 1st shave in a Fat Handle Tech, but the next 2 weren't as smooth in the same razor. I will try the blade in a slightly more efficient razor next time around.

Yes, I was only commenting on that particular company, and on their product page they only had the one DE blade.....the supershave X and for any company in china or anywhere for that matter to only have one DE blade in production can only mean one of two things, the market is swamped with DE blades to a point of saturation or there is not a great demand for DE blades in the country of origin, that's all I was saying, nothing more and nothing less, maybe it's the way I worded it! P.

Yes, you're right. Sorry I misunderstood your initial point Paul, my mistake.

A great point about the market being swamped with so many blades but I imagine a vast proportion of them aren't consumer products but are intended for barbers in the developing world where they use a half DE blade in a shavette to clean up lines as they don't have electric clippers (like in India) and for barbershop shaves.

Yes, as I suspected and had already said that there can not be much demand for Chinise made blades in China. I don't know if they ( the Chinise Shaving population) like disposable razors or cartridge razors or something else but it apears that if they do use DE blades it's not ones made in their own country otherwise the company I was commenting on would have been producing more than one DE blade. Is all!

Shame shame shame shame......

Just used my second blade and just like the first I'm very impressed. Going to try a longevity test just out of curiosity. Finished my third 3 pass shave today and there's no sign of the blade losing its edge or smoothness. Think I will easily get a fourth shave from it and then if it's still going may try pushing it to a fifth. I never push a blade past 3 normally but this thing just seems to keep going. Very quickly becoming my new favourite.
