Greetings,

Open Comb DE Razor Week.

Another eclectic shave set up to start the weekend...I had all intentions to give the Tiger Platinum blades another run out but changed my mind at the last minute, and used The Treet Dura Sharp Teflon coated blade instead, purely because it's another blade i've only used a few times and i can't remember the last time that i added them to my blade rotation.

Paired together with my Parker 24C was a very impressive smooth efficient duo, which I'll be using again in my future shave set ups.

A pleasurable 3 pass + pick ups BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of L'0REAL ~ Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Today's shave:

- Chiseled Face Summer Storm
- Maggard "Blue Haze" 2-Band
- Rex Envoy with Sputnik blade
- Ombia Cool aftershave

:D

shower
cold water
Yaqi Sagrada Familia + Vitos Extra Super Cocco
DLC-YAQI (scalloped closed comb) + Astra Superior Platinum
cold water rinse
generic aloe vera gel

This is an aggressive head I'm just getting used to - I would only use on days I'm not planning to go out in public! I would probably only use platinum coated blades with it. WTG only with this one - my skin is too sensitive to go ATG. Tiny cut under the nose through carelessness otherwise very close shave with no blood.

Sat 29th August

Omega 11126 boar
Officina Artigiana
TNNSER-3D
Gem S/S [ 7 ]
Officina Artigiana A/S Lotion.

Lots more concentration required today as not only is it with a Gem powered Razor, but it is also very light.I honestly find in the main that AC/SE razors are a lot more forgiving the those using a Gem blade. However, all went well and I quite enjoyed the change of pace and the finish attained was not bad,but took some time as I felt the Blade was past its best.

A wonderful Straight shave Saturday.
The CR Salter really is on its last legs, i may have 4 or 5 shaves left in it.
I completed an easy bowl lather in the Captains choice with the Simpson Chubby synth, a quick face rinse with some warm water and a nice, slick face covering.
I started the WTG pass and it seemed something just clicked, the angle seemed to smooth the shave experience right out, it was a little steeper than i have been using with the spine just a little closer to the face, the razor seemed to go from cutting with me the nervous driver to cutting easily and my confidence rising massively, i continued with this angle for the full pass, no issues around the chin area - boom, SAS finish on 1 pass, i lathered up again and completed another WTG pass with some slight changes going ATG on my necks Devils whirlpools and XTG on the top lip, - wonderfully easy. DFS finish.
Now then i could have stopped there, however, the ECO was on the shelf feeling unloved so i lathered up and completed an ATG Buffing pass to leave me BBS and very comfortable.
Finishing of with a splash of cold water and pat down, then the Barts Balm lotion, letting that sink in while i cleaned and stropped the razor. A dollop of matching balm and a rub of Old Spice. Get In!
I think that was my best Str8 shave so far, The finish from the Str8's 2 passes was easily an acceptable finish for any occasion, My confidence has grown massively and things seem to be becoming more natural.
Happy, happy, happy!
Stay safe and enjoy your weekend All

Soap - MWF
Brush - Yaqi Fan Tuxedo
Razor - Fat Handle Tech
Blade - Zorrik Titanium (1)
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Cooling Kick
AS - Signature Soaps Danum Patchouli

A new blade for me today, and even though it was smooth enough it wasn't the sharpest blade and it'd be better paired with a slightly more efficient razor.
A fairly decent lather with MWF today, no virgins were needed to be sacfriced to attain such a lather.
The tune for today is the new Deftones tune, which I'm liking a lot

Have a good Saturday chaps.
