Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend.. Maiden shave using the new version of The Body Shop Maca root & Aloe cream with the 'NOS 94' Gillette SSP first of 20 ,both the blades & cream i've had since the beginning of the year but have yet to try them out along with 25 Tiger Platinums which i will be trying out in in future shaves.

Before i use any DE/SE blade regardless if they are new or old i always palm strop them a few times to remove any hidden or imaginary burrs from the blade edges. The Verdict?...

A wonderful razor & blade match. The 'NOS 94' Gillette SSP felt smooth & efficient in the 3000s a great duo a very mild razor, with a smooth efficient blade.I know it's only my first shave with this blade, but i feel as though i can push these blades beyond my usual 4-5 shaves 'max' then it's binned rule.

For my own curiosity, i'll push this blade to the max to test it's longevity.

The new version of the Maca Root & Aloe shave cream is excellent, like the older version only a small amount is required to produce a luxurious protective slick lather the only difference scent wise to my nose it has a fresher nicer fragrance, a very good great performing shave cream that will always be a firm favourite in my shaving den.

A enjoyable 3 pass +pick ups BBS maiden shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Head and face shave -

On head -

Prep - double zero clippers
razor - Wilkinson Sword 2 blade disposable
soap (?) - Floid shaving oil
post - witch hazel
balm - Floid.

On face -

prep - facial scrub
razor - Gillette Slim (3)
blade - Tatra (4?)
soap - Tabac - tallow hard soap
brush - Simpsons P8 Phyl best
post - witch hazel
a/s - Tabac
balm - none
scent - Tabac edt.

All good - if you are in the habit of keeping your hair close cropped and have never tried shaving it with a razor - have a go - it feels great. Some do it with a de - but I find disposables much easier and safer - due to the scar tissue on my scalp - the most prominent - from a climbing fall - leading an E5 pitch - peeled off - I can still hear the RP micro nuts pinging out - on both ropes - big tumble - that won't make any sense to anybody that hasn't experience of rock climbing - the rest from - um err - 'sports' injuries. :). The only downside - when I put my glasses on - I look like the Dalai Lama - after a particularly bad bout of alopecia. If not for my eyebrows - you wouldn't know which way up my head went. Have a good weekend - one and all - have great shaves - I.

To echo the comment from @Digimonkey this isn't a competition. All photos are welcome. Similarly, there's no judgement if you don't want to post a photo.

I enjoyed that!
Using about a hazelnut size piece of the GFCC cream i whipped up a Lather in the Captain choice copper bowl with the Alpha Ti that could have kept a barber shop in shaves for an hour at least, it was jumping out of the bowl. The scent is very light but the lather punches well above its price range.
2 full passes with the Feather/Kai Pink combo, WTG & XTG trying some different angles/ hand holds to use with the Str8's, i am more confident with this little razor than a Str8 at the moment, resulting in a DFS finish.
The main change being i always go from ear to nose XTG, today i tried nose to ear as i was a bit wary using the Str8 going towards the nose, it seemed to work well so will try that on the next training shave. i am also more confident using my left hand with this razor.
The little ECO did a fantastic job picking up anything i missed on a buffing pass.
A nice post shave routine carrying on the Lime citrus scent, a little bit of a sting from the A/S splash which did not last long.
I am happy, smooth, feeling and smelling good.
Stay safe and Enjoy your day All.
