Two days growth mowed down in two passes with the Feather, almost clean in one. Astonishing performance for a razor with such a mild reputation. Mild, but very efficient with a Feather blade loaded, for me.

Soap - Proraso Green
Brush - Yaqi Mysterious Blue Handle/Fan Tuxedo
Razor - Sportsman Tech
Blade - Gillette 7OC Black (12)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - Eyup Sabri Lemon

4th day in the row using Proraso Green and my lathers have been definitely improving. The 7OCB seems to be running out of steam, still a very good shave nonetheless. Seems to be about as sharp as Astra SP at this stage.

I do get really good Shaves with my AC/SEs, but the experience of using Vintage is different altogether. Vintage SEs vary in design, so getting a good Shave from the different ones is a challenge, and very satisfying when a good shave is attained.
The 1912 used today Shaves very nicely, but I feel that the finish was rather poor around the neck and maybe I should have used a fresh blade.

Another very nice shave today. shave1.gif
A Great lather from the Proraso Green and Little Yaqi.
Face prepped, up steps the ER HFT for its second run out this week, I think it is a little milder than the 1914, although still very smooth, I also think the blade is about done on 9 shaves and I am happy with that,
3 Passes with a little buffing under the chin and on my devils whirlpools under the jaw giving a DFS+. The audio feedback is not as prominent as the 1912's or the 14's only giving the soundtrack ATG. Still brings a wide smile.
A lovely post shave face freeze, not enough to shout out but cool all the same.
Have a great afternoon All.

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney 1/2 Ivory Finest (24/53)
Floris No. 89 shaving soap (tallow)
DE Feather AS-D2 (Ink Edition)/Triad Polished-Satin Diamond Titanium
Polsilver Super Iridium (6)
Floris No. 89 aftershave (vintage)

The "sweet spot" angle of the Feather is different enough from all my other razors that it always takes me one full first pass to get used to it again. But the end result of the shave is the same BBS skin.

Sotd - Tuesday the 23rd of July -

Razor - Merkur 37c
blade - Gillette 'Aussie Spoiler' - (4)
brush - Simpsons Chubby 1 - best
soap - MT - 'Mint Ice Menthol' paste
post - witch hazel
a/s - Myrsol 'Formula K'
balm - Proraso 'Green'

Result - that helped - and no mistake.

It's too hot - cue - stiffled laughter from our Antipodean members. Why resist the inevitable? Cold water shave - very refreshing after a day outdoors - hopefully help me sleep later - if not - that's why god invented whisky. My favourite cold soap. Enjoy yours - I.
