Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend...Yesterday i was picking out various shaving items for the coming week SOTD's i realised it's been a while since i last added my sample soaps to my shave set ups so this week is going to be a soap sample week. Starting the weekend of with the LPL Fougēre soap sample on it's second outing which was kindly gifted to me by @patw along with a Every Ready 1912 SE (US) and a few other shaving soap samples for which i am very grateful to have. It's a french 100% vegan soap and to be honest this vegan soap is absolutely amazing, i only had to use a small amount but had enough for the full shave without going back to the sample tub to add more, the post shave feel is fantastic, as is the slickness, protection & fragrance..Not 'full on' in your face, but a nice lingering scent.Another wonderful soap which i've put my soap 'wish list' but not for a long while yet though..'I've far too many soaps & creams to contend with & to appreciate and use up before i purchase anymore'.

Out of all the dorco de blades that i've sampled, the Prime Platinum is my favourite, it's such a smooth forgiving, yet sharp blade that is suited to my mature 'rhino type' skin ,and has paired together with every razor i've matched it up with.A enjoyable shave.

A comfortable 3 pass + pick ups near bbs shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of L'OREAL ~ Soothing Birch Sap Post Shave Balm.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling devine.;)

Enjoy the start of the weekend, ladies & gentlemen.

3 rounds, BBS, a cheap and reasonable shaver this Yintal, but there are more comfortable options for a bit more money. When using any pressure this one does not bite but leaves you with a nasty irritated feeling on you skin, but without pressure it does what it needs to quite efficiently.
The soap is not my cup of tea, the smell is not that nice, the foam is not that foamy ;-) Time for this sample to move to the bin, and make place for other, better alternatives. As i do not think this one is still in the current line-up of Stirling it could be a sample of the old soap formula, that would explain the loss of scent and mediocre foam.
All in all a nice shave, have great weekend!

20/7/19

Soap - Proraso Green
Brush - Yaqi Rainbow
Razor - Ball End Tech
Blade - Gillette Nacet (3)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - Old Spice (Indian Version)

After seeing @Blademonkey using one soap for one month, I decided to do a similar thing myself. Not for a month though, but a week! Ok, that's not the most extreme commitment but if I manage to use just one soap for a week as I generally change every day then it could be a way to actually use some up soap! I went for Proraso Green, as the last time I used it I had a poor lather even though it's the soap I have owned for the longest.

A good lather today and a superb shave, one of the ones where there wasn't even the slightest bit of resistance towards the blade/razor. Went for the neglected bottle of Indian Old Spice which is nice, makes a change from the usual splashes I tend to go for.

Anyway chaps, I hope you have a good Saturday.
