found this little one in my room today - noble false widow. Poisonous too apparently. Guess empty tubs of soap do come in handy!

When you squish them the ooze yellow gunk!!

In my work role, I would suggest you search for a possible nest and eggs, and destroy them.
The venom is said to be on par with a bee or wasp sting, but can be harmful to those with allergies, the young, elderly and infirm.

I’ll certainly have a look for one just in case (and google how their nests look) although I assume it just came through the open window! Thought it looked a bit unusual so instead of my usual ‘tissue and squish’ I opted out for soap tub and lock, then released to wild
