As I liked the Lo Storto Gentile slant so much, I decided to try the OC version and have not shaved for a few days in order to give it a whirl this evening.

The brush arrived from Hong Kong, courtesy of @Vlasta , four days after being posted and it's stunning to look at. Steve fitted it with a G4 knot and, again, this will have its first outing this evening.

Have a great weekend guys.

Parcel 1 - Gillette Super Adjustable 84

Pleasant surprise today. According to the shipping tracker this is still in the US? Relieved to see it was well packed and looks in excellent condition following its trip across the Atlantic.

As I have been trying to improve my shaving, I've been think about my 1st ever razor. I think this is it. It was adjustable, had a short black handle and opened butterfly type. I was thinking it was either a Gillette or a Parker. Enjoy.

SV Desert Vetiver, Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet and Endemmymemmyummion

Although I'm still waiting on an aluminium S1 to arrive from the US and AP Shave from Canada (both ordered end of June), these were technically my last shaving purchase as Mrs Boycie83 has plans for the house so all funding is now heading to that. It's been a good run though and my collection of shaving goodies is pretty impressive. The one soap I will make an allowance for is one that @BrianH may produce in the future - he knows the one I mean.

You have an amazing collection of shaving products and equipment. I'll have a play with blending the the fragrances this week, so watch this space as they say!

Saponificio Bignoli Agrumi del Mediterraneo and TFS Rasozero Agrumella Shaving Soaps. The Bignoli smells as great as a TFS.
Aqua rather than Stearic acid is the leading ingredient, hopefully this won't affect the performance.
There's more, Mondial Antica Barberia Original Citrus AS, Boucheron EDT, Mondial crema de barba in Tangerine and Spices, and Bergamotto Neroli.

Like a few other voices on the forum, it'd not be much of a surprise if I said like them I was a fan of the Tech. In a recent thread about different versions, I posted that I was unaware of these versions and my razor acquistion syndrome peaked so I would be on the look out for these in due course, but before I had the chance to do so a received an offer of such great genorosity that I was quite frankly out of words to express my gratitude to the incredible gentleman that is Paul @pjgh who sent me the following 2 heads, the pictures are his as frankly mine wouldn't do justice to them.

It's been said before, there's a lot of unsavoury aspects in the realms be it online our elsewhere, but I'm constantly amazed by the kindness and generosity on this forum, it really is a pocket of the universe I am really proud to be associated with.

Thanks again Paul.

Absolutely my pleasure!

Indeed, we have a super bunch of people here and I, too, am very proud to be part of TSR.

For folks looking, the caps are scuffed up again on purpose as raw brass can kinda stick to your face if it's too polished. My process was wet and dry fine/superfine, then massaged with Elsterglanz and finally buffed on felted balsa (old straight strops) with CrOx and 0.25u diamond. The caps were then roughed up again on felted balsa with FeOx. I deliberately boosted the sharpness and definition to show.

I hope they work well for you ...

They will take on their own patina now. Just being in the air will darken them and with a few shaves, they'll start to show their own personailty. Raw brass is really nice to shave with and I think these two are worth doing that with as they're ostensibly the same razor, but different combs.

Maybe if I've got another couple of heads kicking about, I'll split them down the centre and make a dual comb version!
