Italian Barber Intros Tech Clone

First Victory Shave this morning with the Baili BR171.
Very nice!
The razor is fairly light, but the handle is nice & grippy. The plating seems flawless. The fit & finish is fine.
The blade sits in place perfectly well. I'm not a fan of the overhang on the blade ends, so had to be careful especially when going across under my nose.
I used a Kai blade on shave no.4. The actual shave was more comparable to my FH Canada 1932 Tech than the later Techs. The razor gave a smooth, effortless 3 pass shave.
An absolute steal at £7.99 delivered.

Just shaved with the Kanzy Victory razor. I believe exactly the same as the Baili, just rebranded. Cost £6.49. A very decent shave. Will post in SOTD.

Loving the cheaper clone razors! Eyeing up a Gillette Sterling razor.

Several shaves now & this really is a lovely little razor.
I think it's actually slightly more aggressive than my FH Tech. I'd say more similar to my Red Tip.
Similarly, I've been using the Kanzy Victory razor. Same razor as the Baili. Agreed - wonderful razor. For under £6.50 it's a steal. I may be wrong; but the prices of Tech's seems to be sneaking up on eBay at the moment. These homages are a good value alternative.

To zhoosh things up - my next shave will be a 1950's Tech head on the Kanzy handle.

I'm of the opposite belief that the Tech is just a frog hair more aggressive, at least for my mug. Of course, that is part of the appeal of the 3 piece Baili as it makes for such a smooth shave. It is damn near effortless to achieve a DFS at leisure with one. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the Lord Tech clone shaved a tad more aggressively than a real Tech which was just enough to make me sell it.

Regardless, the Baili 3 piece is a Helluva buy that shaves better IMO than a Merkur or EJ (hate those scalloped heads!!).

Interesting. Have you got the exact same Baili as me? I think there are a few different models around.
Mine is the one below with the large blade overhangs at each end of the head.
It's definitely more aggressive than my DE89 & HD34C

This is the distinctive overhang I'm talking about.
It's more pronounced than on any other DE razor I own. I have to be really careful around under my nostrils & my neckline just below my earlobes.
As mentioned, it's well worth it though for the great close 3-pass shave I get.
