Finished.!!

Feels like I’m a bit on killing spree. Good scent on this one but probably won’t be buying it again - still got aftershave for it which scent I prefer (it’s a bit sweeter than soaps scent) and the balm. Plus plenty of other soaps to go through. As always, great soap base on Stirling soap

Do you use a bigger brush by any chance?

I use a tiny 20mm synth for my Stirling. My sample looks exactly the same after a number of uses! I don't think I will ever finish it or any soaps!

I need up my game and use a bigger brush!

Indeed I do - the Stirling got ‘destroyed’ in about 50 shaves with use of 31mm zenith boar - I tend to overload a bit too sometimes so that certainly adds to the usage. My other brushes are either 27mm or 28mm - there is only one 26mm I have which is yaqi synth!

Bigger brushes are certainly good for soap kills haha

Finished my Body Shop Maca Root Shave Cream after 9 years and at least 43 shaves.
It seems that maca is Peruvian ginseng when it's at home. I don't sense any Peruvianess from this, so I'm guessing it's a magical ingredient.

Anyroad, this shave cream has been a great performer. Thick and silky, no issues with it.
I've noticed it's probably the only cream that I have had that hasn't turned solid after a few years - must be that magical ingredient.

Would I buy it again? Probably yes, if I happen to be in The Body Shop; especially if it's on sale (which is quite often for TBS I think).
Still a mountain of other soaps to get through though but temptation is always there.

the matching aftershave splash is almost done too. would not buy either again. the scent was fine but really weak and the performance was just ok. there are too many better creams, even at this price point. of the polish creams I tried, wars and lider were much better. I'd definitely order those again over this. the aftershave had loads of glycerin which was nicer but the aloe vera left a slightly sticky/tacky feeling on the skin.

I still have another bond aftershave to go through. speedmaster. hoping it's better.

This is the softest shaving cream I’ve ever bought (in terms of stuff in a tub), but it has a nice scent and you need hardly any of it to get a very decent lather. Very easy to get through a lot of it though if you’re not careful. The accompanying shave balm gel that they produce is pretty good too, but not the best at soothing after a rough shave. I’d definitely buy the shaving cream again if it was in offer. Not sure I’d do so otherwise, though it is decent stuff and one of the best ones available on the high street (which admittedly is not saying a lot….)

Received as a freebie with a BST purchase (thanks again @Crossan) I have pretty much exclusively been using this Simpsons shaving cream.
In doing so I kind of went off scented soaps. The other week when I pulled up the Yaqi Green I found it overpowering and that is definitely not a strong scented soap.
Nothing to worry as I have a Fragrance Free Executive Shaving Cream which is going to be next used up.

Nice to see the bottom of a tub that was once in my collection, I was beginning to think it was mythical!

Glad you enjoyed it man!

After seven years of occasional use, although I have been using it almost exclusively for the last month or so, my vintage Shulton Old Spice soap is no more.

I’m not seeking to replace this, as the last time I checked the prices where quite silly on EBay. Most the classic traditional soaps are now reformulating, so practically all of my soaps will soon be vintage formulations.

I will use the mug as a brush soaker for my smaller brushes.
