Thayer's Cucumber and Aloe Vera
Wickham's 1912 after shave

I need to try some more of the Wickham's 1912 range (Club Cola and Magnum, perhaps). The Cashmere is great stuff, with a brilliant post-shave feel and scent. Enhanced by the after shave too.

Prep:
DR Harris Coconut shampoo bar, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: None
Soap: Cella
Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: NOS Wilkinson Sword Super-sword (1)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: DR Harris Arlington EdC

That sinking feeling when you are far from home on extended work assignment, set up for your first shave, and realise you forgot to pack your shaving brush into your wet pack. I can see it now, happily ensconced in its gray plastic travel cylinder, sitting on my kitchen table.
Well, one must make do. Thankfully, I had my trusty Myrsol Emulsion roll-on, which was applied copiously as a pre-shave. I had also packed Cella, a relatively soft soap. I bloomed it well, and lathered up by hand. By no means an impressive looking lather, but I did not stop until I could feel slickness and it had a wee bit of sheen. I plunged ahead, taking great care with my technique.
I'm happy to report that the NOS Wilkie and Merkur Futur glided nicely around my face. Did not push it beyond 2 passes, but I can honestly say that the closeness was DFS. A tiny patch of irritation on the neck, immediately rectified by the Myrsol Emulsion post-shave.
Whilst I'm not recommending it unless circumstances dictate, it is surprising how good a shave you can get with equipment limitations, provided most of your kit is good quality gear, and you concentrate.

Morning shave

Olive Oil Soap
Body Shop Macca Root
Semogue 1305
Little Wren Pottery
Brass General
Proline (6)
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented)
Fine Green Vetiver Aftershave
Guerlain Vetiver EDT

We seem to have been plunged back in to November as far as the weather is concerned. A dark, wet morning in north London. But I'm smooth, refreshed and ready for the day ahead. Have a good one gents.

Brush: Frank Shaving 20mm Best Badger
Cream: Tri-Coastal Design Milagu Black
Razor: Open comb head on RazoRock bamboo SS handle
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (2)

This head came free with a Windrose handle, and I wasn't too sure what to expect. Finish isn't great, and despite a fair amount of blade exposure there isn't much blade gap. It took 2+ passes to get a reasonable finish, and I don't think I'll be wheeling this one out again.

Happy shaving ...

Wednesday 30th May

Vitos Pre Shave Cream
GFCC Caribbean Limes Cream
Omega S10083 Synthetic Brush
Giles Shaving Co Bowl
ES ClaymoreV2 on a Windrose Handle with a Proline-P
Alum Block and Rinse
Aloe Vera Gel
Vitos Tobacco AS
Davidoff Echo EDT

The first time using my Claymore in a long time. 2 passes would have been enough....but the shaving time was so short....I went for the third.
A fantastic BBS shave and that is me set up for the day:)

Prep ~ Donkey milk soap with shower
Razor ~ Rolls Razor from my silver plated set
Blade ~ Rolls hollow ground, Honed by @Fergiebilly ( thanks B )
Soap ~ La Savonniere du Moulin
Brush ~ Anbbas Boar
Post ~ Jojoba oil
Scent ~ Miller Harris - Vetiver Insolent

A very good shave from the Rolls helped along by the dense creamy lather that the La Savonniere du Moulin produced.
I have a few of these Rolls sets, wonderful engineering that just wouldn't get made today and give a first class shave.
Was left with a BBS finnish to which I applied a small amount of Jojoba oil as an aftershave treatment.
My scent today was the wonderful Vetiver Insolent from Miller Harris.

Wishing you all a great day.....P
