I have a theory that you are just a master forger that makes the razors in your shed, because everthing you show is just brilliant and looks brand new.

Rooney 3/1 Ebony Finest (22/48)
Knightsbridge Aloe Water shaving cream
Carbon Damascus/R2
Schick Super Chromium (5)
Mennen Skin Bracer

The cream made wonderful lather with a light green scent. It is inexpensive, and I highly recommend it. Next time I will add a little rose absolute/hydrosol mixture to it. The Schick continues to be surprisingly smooth.

Prep - facial wash
razor - Katana
blade - Med prep (?5)
brush - Semogue Torga
soap - Arran Lochranza
post - witch hazel
a/s - Epsilon Blue
balm - Arran Lochranza
scent - none.

I met my face in the mirror this early afternoon - I'm newly unemployed - I don't need to get up early - in pretty much the same mood as @donnie_arko - but - like he - my shave was entirely worth the effort - if you can get it together. Four day's growth or thereabouts - no worries - the blade is lasting well - never used a Med Prep before - I'm pleased with it. The Torga boar continues to impress - breaking in a treat - just point it at a triple milled soap - no danger. I only have a couple of regular boars - both Semogue - I predict - this will be the third - it might well end up the perfect blend of backbone and super soft tips - the ends are already splitting up a treat. So - Arran products? - I have difficulty getting over their marketing bullshit - go look at their website - if you doubt me - selling lifestyle choices? - but - it worked well today - smells nice. Worth the money? Not sure. The soap does come in a pebble - which is pretty cool - what can I say? I'm shallow. Enjoy your shaving gentlemen - yours - I.

Thanks for the mention and good luck with your present/next step Iain.

Some days even trying to make a small improvement to one's sense of being can count for something, and it gives meeting your own gaze in the mirror a little more acceptance; and even if it's just taking off a bit of stubble it can be a little more.
