No, he's "Baby Faced Lizard Boy", he does midget porn.
I've been vintage shaving the past few shaves if it makes you feel any better ;):

I would never pay $150 for any razor. Stop and think about that for a minute, it's just a personal maintenance item that you use in the bathroom. Would you pay $50 or $75 for tweezers? If shaving forums didn't exist and you could never tell anyone about it, would you spend big money on a razor?
Exactly my thoughts. Think a lot of the expensive razor buying public are only buying them to show off in SOTD photos. Not everyone but think there's an element in the community who do. It's the same in every hobby however. My enter expensive product name is more expensive than yours. Don't judge anyone buying nice things with their hard earned cash however.

All valid points Drew but for me it was the one razor I wanted when I first saw it. My holy grail and with the lifetime warranty I knew that when I bought this razor I would have it to use as and when I please until my time on this big ball is up. A cheaper razor could last just as long but that bit of a guarantee is nice and no razor in my opinion looks as good as the Ambassador.

An extremely excellent and most pertinent point...one that I wish i made myself. A Fatboy is of course the ultimate that all wet shavers crave...way beyond the Rex is owner credibility ratings;) (I understand the 1961 is most prized of all)
On just about every forum, the general consensus is that the Slim adjustable is more efficient and smooth compared to the Fatboy. I have never owned either as I view the adjustable aspect to be nothing more than a senseless gimmick.

Can't argue that the Ambassador is a beautiful bit of kit and like I say I don't grudge anyone buying what they love with their own cash. If something catches your eye and you love it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

i disagree entirely
You can't compare a precision piece of engineering to a pair of tweezers (that's) wrong on all levels.
Safety razors were a game changer in history and changed millions of lives especially the armed forces as you'll know.
in terms of the money side it dosent phase me in the slightest, money's all relevant and i'm in the fortunate position i don't have to skrimp & save.
The forum for me is a god send
i love different people's opinions but i certainly don't come on here to tell people about it and brag about cost (that's) just not me.
sorry mate your wrong on all levels.
Put the same blade in two different razors & you'll get two different shaves

Toby...just to clarify...my comment about the Fatboy being the razor that every shaver craves was purely tongue in cheek and would only be understood by one other person in this forum...who did pick up on it;)
My personal view is that each and everyone of us will probably be able to identify one razor that they secretly or publicly would like to own. In some cases more than one, and in other cases a different one each week. Personally, I would like a solid gold Rex Ambassador, which I would have melted down and re-moulded into a solid gold handle for my EJDE89 gold razor head!

All of my razors give me the same perfect shave every time.
