Brush- Yaqi 26mm Werewolf
Soap- Signature Soaps Danum

ASL- Barts Cinnamon and Patchouli

A great little shave this evening, the Yaqi double open comb paired up excellently with the Astra blade on its 8th outing.
Brians soap was as excellent as ever and all topped off with a little squeeze of Barts ASL.

Stay safe everyone and have a great rest of the evening.

Chris, how are you finding the 2Bed? I really like fan brushes, I find they make a subtle but notable difference for painting on the lather for additional passes.

Wed 2 SOTD
Soap The Goodfellas Smile Italian Orange
Brush Yaqi 26mm Orange Black Synthetic
Razor Parker SemiSlant
Blade Treet Platinum 1st
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water + Special Thayers Mix
Hyaluronic + Aqua Velva Musk
Very nice soap. Scent off the puck is pleasant citrusy/orangey and remains thru the shave. Great creamy and slick lather from working with the soft brush on face.
Shave with this slant razor paired with blade was bloody today. Multiple weepers...even from the 1st wtg pass. Must be the blade...will try another blade next. Still able to complete 3 multiple direction passes and stop. Plenty of extra lather waiting...ahahaha
Icy water rinse followed by alum ensure all weepers are closed. Thayers then Hyaluronic soothed and lastly AV Musk.
A close shave...but rating 7/10 today!

2/9/20

Soap - MWF
Brush - Yaqi Faux Horse knot/ Rainbow Handle
Razor - Gillette FHT
Blade - Personna Lab Blue (1)
Post - Witch Hazel/Alum
AS - Signature Soaps A Danum Splash

The PBL bit a few times, picking up a few weepers along the way but the results were very smooth though, from what I remember PBL's take a shave or two before they are at their best. A really great lather with MWF today, I'm a little perplexed to why it has it's reputation for being difficult to lather; I think it might partly be down to simply not loading enough soap. I've noticed hard pucks can take a little longer to load but after that it's like building any other lather.
Finished the shave with some SS Danum splash. It's quite a moisturising splash (I presume down to the ingredients which aren't specified on my bottle), and it sits really well on my skin. I can only see myself enjoying it more and more, especially during the winter months.

Brush: Vintage Butterscotch Culmak Plus 1950
Soap: Vintage Cussons 1950's
Razor: Henckels Rapide

Post shave: Cold water splash, TC's Bay Rum Splash #1

Aftershave: Vintage Ferd. Mülhens Vintage 4711 EDC

A spectacular 2 pass shave today with this Vintage set up.
The 1950's British made Culmak Plus made in Woodbridge whipped up the ancient cream (confirmed by Cussons - end of production mid 1950) to a wonderful slick lather, it still has a nice clean scent.
1st time i have tried the GEM Blade in the razor instead of the original wedge, what a shave, obviously lots of Blade feel although not at all scary.
The 1st pass WTG left me with a DFS finish then i completed an always pass taking me to DFS+, nothing else needed.
I did get a little indication from my Bay Rum splash, although all had settled by the time the Vintage 4711 went on, the Barts lime a perfect match for this EDC which seems to have a higher alcohol content than the new stuff.
Feeling real good with a massive smile on my clean chops while i write this.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All.

Wilkinson Wednesday

Pre - Shower / Face wash
Soap - Wilkinson Blue Bowl
Brush - New Forest
Razor - MÜHLE R89
Blade - Wilkinson (2)
Post - Saponificio Varesino AS - Cubebe (sample)

A nice comfortable two and half pass. I'd usually used a stiffer brush for soaps. I thought I'd try again with a soft brush. It worked, which makes me think one soap I struggle with is a the problem rather than me.
