Soap Suezbana Lemon & TeaTree
Brush Yaqi 26mm Lucky Dice 2 Band Badger
Razor RR GC.84 SB
Blade BiC Chrome Platinum 4th
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water + Special Thayers Mix
Hyaluronic + Reuzel Wood & Spice
Decided to use this long ignored croap. Very nice lemon scent all thru the passes. Brush is excellent for today's face lather and results in a very good creamy and slick result.
Shave with razor paired with blade was very pleasant and smooth for 2 passes but for last atg pass can feel not as smooth and sharp. Time to replace the blade. 3+1 multiple direction passes. Very enjoyable bbs to dfs but saw some creepers later. Icy cold water rinse was fantastic followed by Thayers. Hyaluronic soothed together with Reuzel. Rating 9/10

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade lavender eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Witch Hazel Mixture./ Arko ~ Cool A/S Cologne + ASB.

Greetings,

Last shave with the Gillette 'NOS 94' super silver platinum blade on it's 8th outing it's gave me consistantly error-free comfortable near BBS shaves with each shave with no tugging or dulling issues.

I won't be putting the Gillette 'NOS 94' blade into retirement just yet, as i intend to carry on using it in future shaves. I feel this blade can give me another 3-4 shaves until it starts to lose it's edge. I intend to find out.

Another pleasurable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Arko ~ Cool ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Day ladies & gentlemen.

Brush - Zenith B07 (24mm/55mm bleached boar)
Soap - Tabac Stick
Razor - Flat Bottom Tech
Blade - Gillette Nacet (8)
Post - Witch Hazel
Splash - Brut Oceans

A really great lather with the Zenith & Tabac today, it used to be a brush that got the better of me but that it has fully broken in it's a delight to use, still shedding a bit though with 3 bristles lost today which is quite a bit down from 10 yesterday. Hopefully it will settle down.

The Flat Bottom Tech has a great reputation and it's one of the more elusive beasts, in the shave it felt a touch more efficient than my trusty old Fat Handle Tech and with the Nacet it was delightfully smooth and efficient in the shave, a really comfortable shave.

A very enjoyable shave from start to finish.

Anyway gents, have a great day.

Thursday Shave
  • Pre: African Black Soap
  • Brush: That Darn Rob with 26mm Synbad Knot
  • Razor: Tanifuji 935 Straight Razor
  • Soap: Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica
  • Splash: Mennen Skin Bracer
  • Balm: Bart's Amber and Moroccan Jasmine
  • Scent: No.1 from Lidl

A lot to really enjoy about that shave, the Tanifuji was a joy to use it took a wonderful on my Jnat stone, and it shaves beautifully and the audible feedback is incredible.

The Synbad knot continues to delight me, and often I take Saponificio Varesino for granted as it was a soap i discovered early , but for me it a soap that can hold it's own with any.

SOTD 27th August
Soap - Catie's Bubbles Midnight Dreary
Brush- Yaqi Sagrada Familia
Razor - Gillette Adjustable H1 setting 8,6 and 5
Blade - Gillette Rubie #4
Post - Mennen Skin Bracer and L'Oréal Hydra Sensitive Birch Sap

Lovely 3 passes from razor and blade. Super smooth but thoroughly close! Very, very close to BBS which was not expected after 4-5 weeks of using mild vintage razors. Proves what an exceptional tool the adjustables are. Another great lather from soap and brush. Catie's Bubbles really do lather up very quickly and I had enough for 4 passes. Nice Post shave to set me up for my night shift in work.
Stay safe people and enjoy your shaves

RR 400 Se=Plissoft noir
P & B Citra Royale
RR s/s Hawk V3-A
Schick Proline [ 4 ]
Pitralon Polar A/S lotion

I have been getting super Shaves with the Occams V1 and Oren, but they have a different feel to more conventional Razors so might not find favour with everybody. I used the V3 Hawk today, and found the Shave really enjoyable and was rewarded with an excellent close finish. I would recommend this Razor to those who wish to try their hand at AC/SE Shaving.

Razor- Rex Ambassador
Blade- Gillette Rubie
Bush- Yaqi Sagrada Familia
Soap- Signature Soaps Coria
Post- Thayers Cucumber and Barts Grapefruit and pink pepper balm.

What a shave this was. The Rex really is a fantastic razor, I'm going to have some fun working out which blades work for me in this.
Setting 2 for the first pass then down to 1 for the other two. Unless you've quite a few days of growth I dont think you'd need to go any higher on this. Quite an aggressive razor.

@BrianH soaps....they just work dont they. No fuss, they perform on the money time and time again.

Have a good night one and all.
