Cold Water Shave
Brush: Alpha Outlaw Titanium G4 Synth
Soap: Faena Dorica
Razor: Stainless Karve C Plate
Blade: Gillette Rubie (1)
Post shave: Cold water Rinse, Shower, Witch Hazel
Balm: Barts Balm Cinnamon & Patchouli Balm & Lotion
Aftershave: CK Be
Wk 32 (1) Mon.JPG
1st time use of a Gillette Rubie, paired very nicely with the Stainless Karve to give a very close comfortable shave.
The Faena Soap is very much falling back in favour, a lovely scented thick slick lather started off in the bowl and finished on the face, lovely. the only hydration required was the XS water from the rinse off between passes.
A nice post shave routine leaving me BBS, Comfortable and smelling pretty darn good.
Stay Safe and enjoy your evening All
Happy Birthday Paul @pjgh enjoy your night in.

Thanks, fellows! I've got a curry in and a couple of bottles of my favourite Stout. Just me and the Mrs, as we're in the lockdown zone ... although we could still go to the pub, restaurant or wherever and "happen to meet friends and family at a socially distant distance". That's not the spirit of it, though.
Wise move- Enjoy What you have.Happy Birthday

Mon 3rd August

Not a clue what I was going to use today, but while packing something for the post came across the Hiram Commander. This is the heavy weight of the Occams clan, but it feels good in the hand and moves well. I had what Inthought was quite a quick Shave, and was very pleased at the finish quality. I am using it on a plate 3, with which the Proguard blade works well for me.

Good evening all, hope everybody's well.

Pre- Barts Lavender ASL
Soap- TOBS Grapefruit Cream
Razor- Rockwell 6S (R2)
Blade- Gillette 7am or pm? Permasharp Stainless 4
Brush- Ex S Medium Jock Synth
Post- Cold Water splash and Alum Block
Balm- Barts Grapefruit and Pink Pepper

Cracking shave tonight, this blade performs excellently with the Rockwell and I was really pleased with my first use of the TOBS cream, a lovely scent and lather. No stinging from the alum block and finished off with a run down with Barts grapefruit balm.

Stay safe all.

Pre: Wash with dove soap
Fuar ach snog

Lather:

TOBS Sandalwood (love it)
Yaqi synthetic tuxedo knot brush
Muhle lathering cup

Razor

Muhle R106

Blade

Gilette 7 o clock yellow

Post: Alum block
Myrsol emulsion

--

A very comfortable shave. One pass with the grain followed by another across the grain.
Not a huge difference between this blade and my usual personna platinum blade. Perhaps my razor is too mild to see the difference, or the blades really are quite similar.

Happy Birthday Paul!

I hope the curry was a good one!

Thanks, pal!

Our local farm shop carries a really good range from a local supplier. I got two! Chicken Biryani and a Keema Mutter. Half and half, so good for lunch tomorrow as well.

Wow, what an amazing local farm shop you must have! You're not too far from Bradford, so I'd imagine the suppliers around there would be pretty much bombproof too, and some great meat producers as well in the locality as well. Fine choices on the Biryani and Keema Mutter, 2 of my favourite things to cook/eat.
