Low cost versus quality...

Sharp and cheap . . .

RapIra Super Stainless

£7.49 for 100 on eBay

They're so sharp, in my Timeless 0.68, and Game Changer .84, they feel as sharp as Feather blades. (My skin can't tolerate Feather's.)
My Ikon 101 tames them nicely

Not to piss on your parade, but ALL modern stainless blades, DE & SE, are coated with Teflon along the edge lest you would cry during a shave. It's the coating that imparts the smoothness and not the sharpness in a DE blade.

I dont normally shave my head this way, I use a electric head shaver, but it had grown a bit too long and was catching....I would defo do it again tho

I have problems with DE getting ingrown hairs all the time. It doesn't matter what razor or blade combination I use. Having said that, I also use straight razors. I do not remember ever getting an ingrown hair using the straight... Might be worth exploring.
Hi SammieM.

Thanks for your reply, and others too.

It has crossed my mind, and perhaps were it not for my Rockwell 6C, I may be now using a straight instead. Although every so often I'm still trying to find balance in my current collection of SE razors, before the RAD takes over...

Hi Bogeyman.

Thanks for your comment.

Wow, I didn't know/and or appreciate that. So I guess if a blade packet states PTFE, its likely to have more PTFE on a blade, than a blade packet that doesn't state PTFE?

The application processes are proprietary obviously and scientifically complicated, e.g.:

Thanks for that Bogeyman. I suppose it'd be up to the manufacturer to declare it.

Many thanks.
